World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The feature of upgrading items allows players to increase the item level for weapons that can be equipped or armor. This improves the power of the equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.
It is important to keep in mind that upgrading magic and common gear is not always worth the cost. Rare and exclusive equipment will soon surpass the standard equipment and upgraded magic.
Cost
The player must pay gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item depends on its current level and the upgrade type selected. Upgrades to weapons are typically cheaper than upgrades for armor, since weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required to upgrade an item increases as the item is upgraded to a higher level.
Upgraded items will also have improved stats that can improve its performance in a variety of ways. This could mean increasing its attack power, critical strike chance, or damage per second. An upgraded item may also provide additional buffs to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades are able to be used to boost a variety of purposes, including to boost the overall strength of an individual or group unit. They also can affect the overall gameplay.
Any item upgrader NPC can be located in the game. These NPCs can be found in major questing areas, or capital cities. Players can also find item upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses and by chatting with NPCs in their faction's garrisons.
The upgrade system for items in World of Warcraft provides players with the possibility of upgrading the levels of armor, weapons, and trinkets. This process is similar to gear reforging process in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However, instead of making use of currency, players will need to visit an upgrader for their item to complete the process.
Item upgrades can be expensive, particularly when it comes to weapons and armor. Depending on the upgrade track each step in level of the item could cost many Valorstones and crests. The total costs can be very prohibitive for players who don't have the resources or are unwilling to grind them.
Fortunately the game lets players roll an upgraded item using an additional tool available in the menu of items. This option allows you to exchange the upgraded item for the version at level 1 with an additional set of bonus effects. This is useful to gain better results on items that have already been upgraded. However, it can be a waste of time.
Requirements
The process of upgrading equippable items like weapons, armor and trinkets is to increase the item level. This boosts their stats and can make them more effective in battle. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate amount of currency at an upgrader. Players should be aware of the fact that certain upgrades require specific requirements.
Early upgrades increase the effectiveness of the base item by one level. Later upgrades offer more significant boosts. Upgrades from level 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage plus two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on the level. The bonus consists of a guaranteed substat and a randomly generated stat, which will vary from upgrade to upgrade.

Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item has a different set of extra bonuses, as well as a lower item level. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the rerolled item does not keep its original strength or any of its wasted resource.
Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the original item was a Unique Epic, Rare or Rare. Extraordinary items are also eligible for rerolling, but their original stats will be replaced by an uninvolved bonus. This means that rerolling a Rare item will result in a Normal version the same type, while rolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same kind.
Upgraded items could have additional modifications that can enhance their performance and increase their stats. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade cost. They can be obtained through doing quests, purchasing them at the Trading Post or from other players. Additionally, they can be earned through completing certain missions in the game.
To upgrade an item of equipment, you must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Based on the type of item, you will require one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is available from monsters 21+ and Giants while Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also require various amounts of Minerals and Erons.
Time
Upgrades to items can be used to boost the performance of your gear and ship without having to level them. Upgrades aren't cheap, but they can be an effective way to boost your stats and not have to spend so much time fighting. It's crucial to know the costs and benefits before making the investment of time or money.
Each upgrade boosts the item's base stat a certain amount and gives a chance to get a bonus substat. The random substat may range from a small boost to a much larger boost. Make sure to focus on the stats that perform best in slots first. They will bring greater return for your investment.
You can see the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting a weapon, ship or other accessory. The upgrade window will display the expected completion date and progress. In certain situations, you might be able speed the process of upgrading by applying an Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a high-level salvage kit which allows you to retrieve all or a portion of upgrade components. This is not the case for legendary equipment or upgrades that can be recovered using an Upgrade extractor or by returning the item to the Karma merchant.
Take advantage of the benefits
The upgrading of items rewards players with money and a variety of items. Each upgrade also has the chance to grant a random stat bonus. The amount of bonus varies between upgrades, and is generally higher for rare items. Players can conduct the Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded before spending tickets. The search can also help determine whether the item is of a certain tier and if the player would benefit from a specific upgrade.
During the process of upgrading the item will gradually advance to its next level however, it isn't always able to reach the full upgrade bar. This process makes use of Growthstones and Sollant but there is a 10% chance of obtaining a fully upgraded item within just one cycle. The higher the level an item is upgraded, the higher its stat value will be and the more items that can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to give an attribute bonus, or an additional effect, when the equipment is worn. Some upgrade components also come with cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are available by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving them as gifts. Players can also find upgraded items by using an Upgrade extractor, or salvage with a high tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on tools for gathering can be swapped freely.
A player can reroll an item into a different upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button an arrow that indicates reroll. This will change the layout of the item window and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item will be replaced by a level 1 item. Recycled items will not keep their level, nor the resources used to upgrade it.
The highest level of upgrade an item can achieve is determined by its quality and tier. Rare and Epic items are able to be upgraded to levels up to nine, whereas common items can only be upgraded up to level six. The item upgrades are added to its base statistics. This means that they will not increase in the future after a certain level.
